NLN Strategies

The National Leadership Network Consultants have co-produced our Participation and Engagement and our Communication Strategies for 2024-26. Both these strategies link in with the National Leadership Network Funding Strategy 2024-26.

The Communication Strategy was produced in partnership with the Comms Team at Children’s and Young People’s Centre for Justice (CYCJ). Many thanks to Craig Stewart for all his input into this.

The National Leadership Network’s Steering Group has also produced a Funding Strategy worth £360,000 to support individuals with care experience. The National Leadership Network’s ‘Flexibility, Innovation, and Collaboration’ Strategy will support projects and provide individual grants to support with personal and professional development. The Strategy, which runs from 2024-26 will provide £270,000 in total for up to twelve projects and provide £90,000 for grants to individuals – representing a major direct cash transfer to the community of care experienced people. The National Leadership Network is a project focusing on leadership in all its shapes and forms which aims to fund, signpost, support, and develop leadership opportunities and experiences in the care experience community. The first phase of the funding – which is seeking Expressions of Interest for two projects of up to £50,000 each is now live, more info to follow in due course.

Other phases of funding will follow. To date, the NLN has funded 7 projects, and similarly to this new ambitious Strategy has been decided on solely by those with lived experience of care with the core principles of relationships and collaboration.
